Carers Week is your week. A week to celebrate you, the caring you do, and the vital role you play in our community.

In 2025, Carers Week will be held from 12–18 October, with the ACT adopting the theme: “A Community that Cares for Carers.”
This theme highlights the vital contribution carers make across our health, disability, aged care, and community systems, and the importance of ensuring carers themselves are supported, recognised, and valued.

Across Australia, more than 2.65 million people provide unpaid care to family members and friends, including around 58,000 carers in the ACT. Too often unseen, carers are the quiet achievers who keep families and communities strong.

Carers Week is your opportunity to:

•Connect with other carers in a supportive environment
•Enjoy meaningful events designed just for you
•Take some time for yourself
