Temporary Closure of Deakin Respite Cottage
Carers ACT’s Deakin Respite Cottage is temporarily closed while we complete maintenance. Importantly, there is no disruption to our services. All carers with existing bookings have been supported with alternative accommodation or in-home support options, and respite continues to be available through Carer Gateway. Carers seeking respite are encouraged to contact Carer Gateway at 1800 422 737 to discuss options.
Carers ACT remains committed to providing flexible, high-quality respite. We continue to work with the ACT Government to identify land for a purpose-built respite and carer support centre that meets the evolving needs of our community.
