Training Opportunities for Carers
of a Person Experiencing or Living with Mental Ill-health

Carers ACT invites carers of a person experiencing or living with mental ill-health in the ACT to register your interest in some specific mental health training courses. We are calling for expressions of interest to gauge your interest in the various courses, and to book courses that meet your needs and your preference for learning.

These courses have been selected to equip carers by building personal capacity, increasing skills and access to available tools, improving carers ability to support the person they care for as well look after themselves.

Several of the courses have flexible delivery options, such as, in person/face-to-face or online facilitation; self-paced online content by yourself in your own time; or blended with both facilitated sessions in person and online content. More details on this are provided on the expressions of interest form where carers can nominate their preference/s.

Course that are identified as ‘accredited’ can provide a certificate, should carers wish to complete and pass a questionnaire at the end of the course. However, this is optional – cares are not required to do this to participate in the training. The course content is still relevant to caring situations.

You are welcome to register your interest in more than one course. To register your interest in one or all courses, please click on the link below.  (Please note – this is not a registration form. Carers ACT will provide you with further information about when the courses are available, based on your interest and preferred style of learning).

Please complete your interest by Friday 17 March 2023.
