Carers ACT’s Independent Living Skills day program “The HUB” is designed for people living with mild to medium cognitive disability.
It aims to enhance the individual’s social and independent living skills, to develop interests and abilities and to participate in the community.
This Program is available to people between the ages of 18 and 45 with a mild to moderate cognitive disability.
The service operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm at Carers ACT, 80 Beaurepaire Crescent, Holt, offering both full and half day programs incorporating a range of skill development and engaging activities.
The activities are interactive and adapted to the participant’s abilities and interests and include activities such as
- Walking in the Community
- Art and craft
- Social outings and adventures
Working on a range of skill building activities such as:
- Bus Training
- Growing and cooking your own ingredients
- Coffee making
- Money Skills
- Washing & Hanging laundry
- Making a bed
- Basic personal care skills
- Household cleaning and safety

Fees are dependent on the individual’s NDIS plan. Please contact our advisory staff on 6296 9900 for an individual assessment. If the individual is not in receipt of an NDIS plan, please call our advisers to enquire about flexible options. Click here to access our price list.
