Slips Trips and Falls Prevention Workshop

November 12 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEDT

Presented by Summit Health Solutions, this session will assist in understanding the difference between what an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist can do to support those you care about move in their own homes and in the community.

This session will include:

  1. Occupational Therapy – Identifying Trip Hazards in your Home. This session will involve a presentation looking at some of the common falls risks in the home and will include an interactive component to get you thinking about circulation space.
  2. Occupational Therapy – Assistive Technology to decrease your falls risk. During this session we will have a presentation from a local assistive technology supplier who will demonstrate some equipment that can decrease your risk of having a fall and can assist you to stand safely after a fall.

This activity is open only to carers registered with Carers ACT.
