Mental Health Awareness sessions with Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT).
This workshop is for people with or carers of people with Bipolar Disorder.
Mental Health 101 – Bipolar Disorder, utilises extended and detailed accounts of lived experience and expands on the clinical information and current research related to a Bipolar Disorder. This workshop will give in-depth and up-to-date information on behavioural changes, common symptoms, prevalence and risk factors.
The workshop will also cover detection, diagnosis, and current treatment methods. Finally the workshop will cover seeking help for consumers of mental health services, carers and other persons that may be affected by the specific disorder. The course is delivered by a highly trained and experienced Program Educator and a Volunteer Educator who will share their lived experience story of Bipolar Disorder.
