Do you know what to do in an emergency situation, whether at home or when out and about? Or do you need to refresh your first aid skills?
Carers are invited to register for a one day certificate course, Provide First Aid. This course will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response, life support and management of casualty(s) in a range of situations, such as the home, community and workplace, until the arrival of medical assistance.
A Provide First Aid Certificate is valid for 3 years. This course is suitable for first timers to first aid and for carers who already hold a certificate that may expire within the next six months.
Please note – this course will be held in Deakin. You will be required to complete the supplied work booklet prior to attending the session. This workbook is marked and corrected on the day and goes towards your pass mark and certification. To receive your certificate you will also be required to register for a Unique Student Identifier (USI), if you do not already have one. For more information, about the USI please click here to visit the government’s website. Further details will be forwarded to you once you register.
COST – $20
