Computer skills a bit rusty and in need of a polish?
Carers ACT has the opportunity for a limited number of carers to attend a face-to-face version of Microsoft’s Digital Literacy Program.
This one day course will help you develop or refresh your understanding of computers, help you learn the essential skills to begin computing with confidence, be more productive at home and at work, stay safe online, use technology to complement your lifestyle, and consider careers where you can put your skills to work.
A certified Microsoft Trainer will deliver the full program covering the following topics:
- Computer Basics*
- The Internet, Cloud Services and the World Wide Web
- Productivity Programs
- Computer Security and Privacy
- Digital Lifestyes
*Participants will be expected to have some experience using computers as this module will be run through quite quickly.
Attendees will have the opportunity to use Carers ACT’s computers following the session to practice and then take the online assessment. Successful completion of the assessment will result in a Computer Literacy Certificate, issued by Microsoft.
Cost – $20 per carer to be paid on registration.

As this session is at a cost to Carers ACT should a carer be unable to attend there will be no refund.
