Creating a Dementia Friendly Home/Space

The workshop is full of practical advice and tips to help carers create a meaningful environment for people with dementia . Topic areas include:

  • the effect of the environment on someone living with dementia
  • signage
  • use of colour
  • furnishings and lighting
  • creating meaningful engagement opportunities
  • creating therapeutic garden spaces.

REGISTER HERE  | NOTE  Priority will be given to carers of people with dementia.

If there are vacancies, these will be open to other carers. You will be further notified by email.

Lunch is provided.

Carers are welcome to make a contribution towards this activity at each session.

Please note there is underground car parking available at the National Portrait Gallery. Fees apply.
