Grief in the context of COVID-19

May 29, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm AEST

Join us for a session with Sonia from the Canberra Grief Centre on grief experience during the COVID-19 pandemic

Sudden, unexpected events such as bushfires, droughts, hail storms and global pandemics force us to face change; that which we are not entirely, if at all, prepared for; that which we do not want nor desire.   And with every major crisis or change, there is an experience of loss, often layers of loss; internal and external to ‘self’, simultaneous and compounding.  We may feel different within our self but not completely understand it as being loss and grief.

This presentation aims to bring to light some of the losses experienced in the COVID context, how our body might respond to loss and how to support ourselves through this uncertain time.

This session is only open to carers registered with Carers ACT.

Please ensure you book on the button above so you are sent the online link.

By attending and participating in this session, you consent to video, images and audio of yourself and those you are responsible for being used in this manner. The session will commence once the facilitator is available and as close to the advertised time as practical. The session will not be recorded.

If you have problems logging in on the day please call us – 6296 9982 or email
