Come along to find out what you need to know, in one place, on the same day, with no one trying to sell you anything.
Organisations presenting on the day include:
Carers ACT – Services for carers and the person they care for including Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home care packages, Social Supports, day and overnight respite.
ACT Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) – My Aged Care: entry, assessments, service types and how to register.
Third Age Matters: Canberra aged care solutions – Types of facilities available, arranging inspections, eligibility and assessments, costs, preparing for the transition, questions to ask.
Department of Human Services (Financial Information Service) – Financial Information services and what they do, charges for Aged care residential services and Home Care packages.
There will be an opportunity to meet the presenters throughout the day.
Don’t forget to bring a note pad and pen!
Please note: There is a limit of two tickets person – bring a family member, the person you care for or a friend. Free car parking is available on site.
Some light refreshments will be provided and a cafe is available to purchase more substantial refreshments.
