Need assistance to navigate the ‘aged care’ maze?
Then come along and find out what you need to know, on the same day, in the one location for free!
Carers ACT understands that not all carers and their families can attend information sessions during the week on important topics such as this one. This is why we have made it available to you and your family on the weekend!
The half day will include various presentations of approximately 45 minutes on:
- ACT Aged Care Assessments
- Centrelink payments and ages and home care fees and changes
- Home Care Packages
- Subsidised equipment available for independent living
- Accessing aged care facilities
- How Carers ACT can support you.
The following organisations will be in attendance: Carers ACT; ACT Aged Carers Assessment Team (ACAT); ACT Health; and Centrelink, Department of Human Services. There will be an opportunity to meet our qualified presenters and ask questions.
Don’t forget to bring a not pad and pen!
Please note: There is a limit of two tickets person – bring a family member, the person you care for or a friend. Free car parking is available on site. Some light refreshments will be provided and a cafe is available to purchase more substantial refreshments.
Registration to attend is essential through the link below. If you are unable to book online or attend on the day, please notify Carers ACT as soon as possible by calling 6296 9982 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
