Carers Connect @ Cockington Green
Carers ACT organised a day trip to Gold Creek Village last Thursday the 2nd of March for carers aged 65 and over for a lovely day out to walk around the gardens, which was then followed by lunch at the nearby Café Injoy.
The day trip was a great way for to enjoy some free time to walk around the gardens and a free train ride. Carers and guests enjoyed their time at the gardens, with some commenting that attending group activities such as the Cockington Green Day Trip to connect with other carers as caring can be quite isolating at times, and that through the group programs they were able to find ways to both take time for themselves and to socialise.
We hope all carers were able to take a well deserve break at Cockington Green.
