Disability Services

Carers ACT has the expertise and services to help carers cope with the unique challenges of looking after someone with a disability

We can also support the person you care for, with our community access and independent life skills programs. Our programs are all about helping people with disability learn independent living skills, make new friends, build confidence and become active members in the community.

Independent Living Skills - Disability Program

Carers ACT Disability Services offers full and half day programs incorporating a range of skill development and engaging activities. The program runs 8.30am to 5.30pm Mondays to Fridays. The activities are interactive and adapted to the participant's abilities and interests and include growing and cooking your own ingredients, music, yoga, photography, dance, gym, walking, art and craft. These activities are designed for people with moderate cognitive disabilities and target those aged between 18 to 40 years of age. Please see the link below for the calendar.
